Vanilla Doughnuts: Rich and Sweet!

Who says doughnuts have to be deep-fried in order to be delicious? Made with our premium Vanilla Powder, these doughnuts are soft, fluffy and full of rich vanilla flavor. Topped with a sweet glaze and a generous shower of sprinkles, they’re perfect for parties, brunches or just a feel-good treat at home.


Ingredients:


For the Doughnuts:

  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour

  • ⅓ cup (65g) sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp James Vanilla Powder

  • ½ cup (120ml) milk

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)


For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar

  • 1–2 tbsp milk

  • ¼ tsp James Vanilla Powder

  • Colorful rainbow sprinkles for topping


Instructions:

  1. We will start off setting the oven to preheat at 175°C. Meanwhile we will grease a doughnut pan lightly with oil or butter.

  2. Take a bowl and whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and James Vanilla Powder. Take another bowl and mix milk, egg and melted butter. Now pour the milk mixture into the dough mix and stir them until they are combined, while taking care not to overmix.

  3. Next, fill the batter into a piping bag. 

  4. Then use it to fill your doughnut molds, just slightly below the rim.

  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean after being inserted into one of the doughnuts.

  6. Let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer the doughnuts to a wire rack.

  7. Now we will mix powdered sugar, milk, and James Vanilla Powder until it is smooth and pourable.

  8. We will dip each doughnut into the glaze and sprinkle some rainbow sprinkles on top. 

  9. Keep them aside to let the glaze set for 10–15 minutes.

  10. Your delicious Vanilla Doughnuts are ready!
