If you are familiar with the scent of those hot and fresh straight-out-of-the-oven biscuits, you will definitely LOVE our Biscuit Compound. Our James Biscuit Compound delivers that distinct aroma of fresh biscuits, without the baking!. Try this biscuit essence cake, super easy, prepared in just a few, quick and easy steps.
Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter (softened)
2 eggs
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp James Biscuit Compound
2 tbsp milk
Instructions
1. The first thing we have to do is preheat the oven. Preheat your oven to 180°C or 350°F.
2. Then, grease a small cake tin and line it with parchment paper. If you have some funny cake moulds, now is your time to use them!
3. Now, in a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar until it turns light and fluffy.
4. Next we will add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after adding each.
5. It's time to mix in your James Biscuit Compound—don’t skip this; it’s the star!
6. Now, sift in the flour and baking powder. Fold the mixture gently.
7. Add milk as needed to get a smooth, pourable batter.
8. Pour the batter into your prepared tin and bake for 25–30 minutes at the same 180°C or 350°F, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
9. Keep the garnish simple for this one and shower some chopped nuts and powdered sugar over the top.
9. Your cake is ready! Let it cool for a bit, then slice and serve.
Remember passing by those cake and biscuit factories? How the whole area was layered with the sweet toasty scent? Now that your cake is ready, your room would be smelling the same. Do enjoy and share it with your loved ones!
