Decadence Redefined: Butterscotch Essence Chocolate Truffle


Ingredients:


- 8 oz (225 g) dark chocolate, chopped

- 1/2 cup heavy cream

- 1 teaspoon James butterscotch essence

- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)

- 1/2 cup crushed nuts (optional, for coating)


















Instructions:


1. Heat the Cream: In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat.


2. Melt the Chocolate: Add the chopped dark chocolate to the hot cream. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth and fully melted.


3. Add James Butterscotch Essence: Stir in the butterscotch essence until well combined.


4. Chill the Mixture: Allow the chocolate mixture to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for about 1-2 hours, or until firm.


5. Form the Truffles: Once firm, use a small cookie scoop or your hands to shape the chocolate into small balls.


6. Coat the Truffles: Roll the truffles in cocoa powder, crushed nuts, or a combination of both to coat.


7. Chill Again: Place the coated truffles on a baking sheet and refrigerate for another 30 minutes to set.


8. Serve: Enjoy these decadent truffles as a sweet treat or gift!
